02What information we collect
When you join High Context through the website, we collect the information you enter in the form:
- your full name;
- your email address;
- a link to your LinkedIn profile.
We also record basic administrative information connected with the submission, such as the date and time, the source of the submission, its status and a unique submission reference.
We may open the LinkedIn profile you provide to understand your professional background and whether High Context is relevant to you. We do not automatically copy the contents of your LinkedIn profile into our community database.
The website may also generate limited technical and usage information through our hosting and analytics tools, as explained below.
If we later ask for additional information as part of a High Context Membership application, programme or other service, we will make clear at that point what information is being requested and why.
03Why we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- process your request to join High Context;
- communicate with you about the community;
- send the High Context updates you have agreed to receive;
- tell you about relevant events, High Context Voices, Membership updates, programmes and other High Context activity;
- maintain our community records;
- understand who is joining High Context and whether the community is relevant to their professional background;
- respond to questions or requests;
- protect our forms and systems from misuse or duplicate submissions;
- operate and improve the website.
Joining High Context through the current website form does not create a paid Membership or a Circle account.
High Context Membership is a separate product and will have its own application and onboarding process when it opens.
04Our legal basis
Depending on how we use your information, we rely on different legal bases under applicable data protection law.
We rely on your consent to send you High Context email updates. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We rely on our legitimate interests where necessary to operate and administer High Context, maintain appropriate community records, understand our audience, keep our systems secure, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions and improve the website.
Where you later apply for or purchase a High Context Membership, programme or other service, we may also use information where necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract with you.
We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
05How and where information is stored
Information submitted through the High Context website is stored using Lovable Cloud infrastructure.
We also use Google Workspace for operational administration. Community sign-ups may be recorded in a private Google Sheet and email notifications about new sign-ups may be sent to the High Context team through Google services.
Access to these records is restricted to people who need it to operate High Context. Website visitors and other community participants cannot access the private sign-up records.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information and limit access to it.
06Who may receive your information
Your information may be accessed by:
- members of the High Context team who need it to operate the community;
- TURN HEADS GLOBAL LTD, as the organisation operating the website;
- Lovable, which provides website hosting, database and related infrastructure;
- Google, where Google Workspace services such as Google Sheets and email are used for community administration.
These service providers process information as part of providing their services to us.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share information submitted through the Join High Context form with other community participants.
We may disclose information where required by law.
07International transfers
Some of the service providers we use may process personal information in countries outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area.
Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards.
08How long we keep information
We keep community sign-up information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate High Context, communicate with you and maintain appropriate community records.
If you unsubscribe from High Context updates or ask us to remove your information, we will remove you from active communications and delete or anonymise information that we no longer need, unless we have a legal or operational reason to keep it.
We may retain a minimal record of an unsubscribe request where necessary to make sure we do not add you back to communications you have opted out of.
If you later become a paid High Context member or participate in a paid programme, different retention requirements may apply to records needed to administer that relationship or comply with legal obligations.
09Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, and EU GDPR where it applies to you, you may have the right to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to how we use it;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
These rights apply in certain circumstances and are not absolute in every case.
To make a request, email hello@highcontext.global.
High Context’s Data Protection & GDPR Lead is Ruxandra-Laura Bosilca. We may need to confirm your identity before dealing with your request.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the relevant authority in your EU country.
10Email updates
When you join High Context through the website, you agree to receive High Context updates by email.
These may include community news, upcoming events, High Context Voices, Membership updates, programmes and other activity related to High Context.
We rely on your consent to send these emails.
You can withdraw that consent at any time by using an unsubscribe link where one is provided or by contacting hello@highcontext.global.
Unsubscribing from email updates does not affect the lawfulness of emails sent before you withdrew your consent.
11Cookies and analytics
The High Context website currently uses limited first-party analytics and technical monitoring provided through our website infrastructure to help us understand website visits and performance.
This may use a short-lived session identifier and collect limited technical and usage information about how the website is used.
We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels or behavioural advertising cookies.
If we introduce additional non-essential cookies, advertising technologies or other tracking tools, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
12External links
The website links to external services including LinkedIn, Instagram and Luma.
If you follow one of these links, the external service operates under its own privacy policy and data practices.
Information submitted through the High Context Join community form is not automatically sent to LinkedIn, Instagram or Luma.
If you register for a High Context event directly through Luma, the information you provide there is handled through Luma’s service and its own privacy practices also apply.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the High Context website, community, Membership, programmes or the services we use change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the policy was most recently changed.
